Aguas claras Hike overview
We depart from Lençóis around 8:30 AM to begin the Águas Claras Waterfall tour, driving for about 25 minutes to reach the starting point of the hike. The trail begins with a gentle two-hour walk across open plateaus, through dry fields and typical Caatinga vegetation.
Along the way, the imposing Morrão mountain rises in the distance, becoming even more impressive as we approach Águas Claras Waterfall, a true natural refuge featuring crystal-clear pools and small waterfalls perfect for a refreshing dip.
After a swim in the cool waters, we enjoy a picnic under the trees, soaking in the silence and the unique beauty of this natural sanctuary. Most of the day is spent relaxing in the pools and taking in the peaceful surroundings that make the Águas Claras trek so special.
In the late afternoon, we return along the same trail and drive back to Lençóis, feeling renewed and deeply connected to nature.
Total Distance (round-trip): 17 km
Starting Point: 880 m
Highest Point: 930 m
Lowest Point: 840 m
Note: This tour can be combined with a sunset view at the top of Mount Pai Inácio for an additional cost. We recommend discussing this option with the agency staff the day before the excursion. The group will need to leave earlier in the morning to accommodate both activities.
